Understanding Temperature Scales
Temperature is a physical quantity that expresses hot and cold. Different regions and scientific fields use different scales.
- Celsius (°C): Used worldwide for most daily applications. Water freezes at 0°C and boils at 100°C.
- Fahrenheit (°F): Used primarily in the United States. Water freezes at 32°F and boils at 212°F.
- Kelvin (K): The SI base unit of temperature, used in science. 0 K is absolute zero.
